Just found a site with back issue cover images of Seventeen Magazine and after looking through it, I have confirmed that the years 2002 and 2003 were the only years that their flag font was sans-serif, which I like. I don’t think the serif version is all that bad, but the serif and italicized version is just so lame. I’m sorry, I’m sort of a typography snob (read: nerd).
For some reason, the November and December issues are not on this site, but according to eBay*: November was Justin Timberlake and December was Kelly Osbourne. Very good 2002 choices.
* Who the hell is buying back issues of Seventeen Magazine from 2002? And, more important, who the hell is selling back issues of Seventeen Magazine from 2002?
Somewhat related: I made this CD cover for Danielle for her seventeenth birthday based on the Katie Holmes cover.
I had so many of these. Definitely # 1, 2, and 8.

I had so many of these. The Gilmore Girls one was on my wall for years. By “years” I mean like 2 or 3 years.
